For the past 13 years, Portuguese on Demand has been bringing students and friends to Portugal for unforgettable immersion weeks. These trips combine structured Portuguese lessons in the morning with cultural activities, excursions, and shared experiences in the afternoon and evening.
In 2026, we’re heading to Coimbra — one of Portugal’s most historic and vibrant university cities. This week is designed for adult learners of all levels, from beginners to advanced, who want to focus on the language while enjoying the culture in a friendly group atmosphere.
You’ll be part of a friendly group of Portuguese language students of all levels — from complete beginners to advanced— all sharing the same goal: to immerse themselves in the language and culture of Portugal.
Coimbra Portuguese Immersion Week — October 2026

What to Expect:

Morning lessons:
Group classes run each morning from 08:50–12:00 (three 55-minute lessons with short breaks).
Students are grouped by level — from beginners to advanced — so you’ll learn alongside others at a similar stage.
Private lessons can also be arranged on request.

Afternoons and evenings:
A mix of organised cultural activities (walking tour, welcome drinks, farewell lunch, and optional excursions) and free time to explore Coimbra at your own pace.

Maximum of 8 students per class, ensuring personal attention.
Atmosphere: -
Adult-only, friendly and relaxed, giving you space to enjoy Portugal as “me-time” while still sharing the experience with like-minded learners.
